You don't need to arrive with everything figured out

You don't need

✦to have your story in the right order.

✦to know where to begin.

✦to have the "right" reason to come.

We'll begin wherever feels possible that day.

Every session can look a little different

Some days you'll have lots to say.

Other days you might not know where to start.

Sometimes we'll stay with something that happened yesterday.

Sometimes we'll notice patterns that have quietly followed you for years.

Sometimes one small observation changes how you see the whole story.

Some sessions leave you feeling lighter. Others stay with you for a while.

Others simply make a little more space.

There isn't one "correct" way for therapy to unfold.

We'll keep checking the map together

From time to time we'll pause and reflect.

✦Is therapy helping?

✦Has something shifted?

✦What feels different?

✦Is there another direction we should explore?

Therapy isn't something done to you.

It's something we shape together.

Between sessions

Therapy doesn't stop when the session ends.

People often notice themselves becoming more curious.

Seeing patterns they hadn't noticed before.

Finding new words for old experiences that once felt difficult to describe.

Or simply treating themselves with a little more kindness than they did a few weeks ago.

There isn't homework unless it's something you'd genuinely find helpful.

You don't have to perform here

You can laugh.

Cry.

You can be quiet.

Forget what you wanted to say.

Change your mind halfway through a sentence.

Be uncertain.

Be messy.

Be thoughtful.

Be simply yourself.

Over time...

Every person's journey is different...

✦Many people describe gradually feeling more connected to themselves.

✦Understanding their experiences with greater compassion.

✦Recognising patterns more clearly.

✦Feeling less overwhelmed.

✦Finding it easier to make decisions that feel true to who they are.

Therapy isn't about becoming someone new.

Often, it's about slowly finding your way back to the person you have always been.

Therapy isn't only talking

Sometimes talking is enough.

Sometimes it won't quite capture what's going on or actually limit us.

That's when it can help to think visually, sketch ideas, map relationships, notice what your body is telling us, work with metaphor or move around the room.

Nothing is ever compulsory.

We'll find what helps you make sense of your experience.

The first session is simply the beginning

We'll spend time getting to know one another, and I want to get a sense of you as a whole person -

not just the difficulties that brought you here.

✦

The first session usually involves some questions - nothing to worry about.

They simply help me to understand a little about you, your life and the people who are important to you.

✦

It can also feel a bit awkward for both of us at first. That's completely normal.

There isn't a test to pass or a perfect way to answer.

✦

You don't need to tell me anything before you are ready.

What it might feel like to work together

This page is simply a gentle walk through what you can expect

Progress rarely happens in a straight line

Some weeks you'll leave feeling lighter.

Some weeks you'll leave with more questions than answers.

Sometimes you'll wonder whether anything changed at all.

Then, perhaps a few weeks later, you'll notice yourself responding

differently in a situation that once felt impossible.

Often, change arrives quietly.
